In the digital era researches have great tools to find documentation to enhance  their work and research. Before a document can be available online, many hours of silent and lone work takes place, while one goes through donated boxes of material, to  verify the veracity of each document, its importance in a particular historical context, to digitize them and  have them available online for study and research.
