The Gallery of the Portuguese Pioneers is calling for submissions on the theme “Women and thread: silent narratives”, to celebrate immigrant women and traditional crafts.

We are currently open to submissions of craft work, celebrating Portuguese traditions in embroidery, crochet, patchwork, and some contemporary work such as collage and others.
The main medium must be thread. We are accepting submissions until the 31 of January. Please send 4 pictures of your work, detailed information on your craft, and a brief biography, address and contact: email and phone number.

The chosen work will be part of an exhibition to celebrate Women’s Day, March 2019.
