To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Portuguese immigration to Canada, the Galleria of the Portuguese Pioneers in conjunction with Luso Learning Centre, is promoting a contest for secondary and post-secondary students.

The contest of the 60th anniversary of the Pioneers is open until May 13th, 2013. Students interested in participating should provide in written form a historical that depicts the origins of Portuguese immigration 60 years ago. Winners will be awarded $1,000.000 & $5,000.00 respectively to go towards their studies.
